신앙 고백

데오빌로 장로교회는 정통 장로 교회(Orthodox Presbyterian Church)에 속한 교회로서 신앙고백이 있는 교회(Confessional Church)입니다.  웨스트민스터 신앙고백, 대요리 문답, 소요리 문답을 기초로 아래와 같은 신앙과 교리를 믿고, 고백하고, 가르치고 배우며, 또 실천하는 교회입니다.

 

1.  신구약 성경은 하나님의 감동으로 쓰여진 하나님의 말씀으 로 오류가 없습니다.  성경만이 믿음과 행함에 있어서 완전하고 충분한 신앙의

법칙입니다.

 

2.  성경의 메시지는, 의도적으로 하나님께 죄 지은 아담을 통해 함께 죄에 빠진 우리 모든 인간이 하나님의 진노 아래 있으며, 하나님과의 관계를

회복하는 길은 오직 예수 그리스도께서 우리를 대신하여 십자가에 죽으시어 피흘려 주신 것과 우리를 대신하여 완전히 의로운 삶을 살아주신 것을

믿음으로 이루어지는 것입니다.  이 믿음은 하나님의 선물입니다.

 

3.  죄인들의 유일한 소망은 오직 하나님의 은혜인데, 동정녀 마리아에게서 나셨고, 자기 백성의 죄를 대신하여 십자가에서 죽으셨으며,

영화로운 몸으로 부활하신 하나님의 독생자 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음을 통해서 누리는 은혜입니다.  

예수님께서 친히 세상을 심판하러 곧 다시 오실 것을 믿으며 하나님의 영원한 나라로 그분의 백성을 다 모으실 것입니다.

 

4.  우리 하나님은 지금도 살아 계시고 참되신 한 분 하나님이시며, 구별되시는 삼위로 존재하시는데, 성부, 성자, 성령 하나님이시며

본질이 같으시고 권능과 영광은 동등하십니다.

 

5.  웨스트민스터 신앙고백과 대, 소요리문답은 성경 전체를 가장 잘 요약한 문서입니다.

 

6.  교회의 머리는 오직 한 분 예수 그리스도이시며, 교회의 모든 표준은 오직 하나님의 말씀 뿐입니다.

What We Believe

We are an Orthodox Presbyterian Church and believe that a faithful summary of what the Bible teaches is found in the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Larger Catechism, and the Shorter Catechism. Below is a short summary of our beliefs:

Triune God

We believe in one living and true God, in whom eternally there are three distinct persons- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, who are the same in being and equal in power and glory.

 

The Bible is the Word of God

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God, which is all-sufficient for faith and practice.

The Bible’s central message is that all people have fallen into sin through Adam, and that the only way for us to have

a personal relationship with God is through faith in Jesus Christ.

 

Salvation by Grace Alone and Faith Alone

We believe that all mankind are fallen in sin under the curse of physical, spiritual, and eternal death. We believe that those who, by the grace of God, repent and forsake sin and trust in Jesus Christ as their only hope for salvation, are justified before God and receive eternal life that Jesus earned for His people.

 

Jesus is the Head of the Church

We believe that the only Head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ, and that the only standard of the church is His Word.

We believe that God has given the church the primary task to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of

the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that Jesus has commanded.

We also believe the children of believers to be a part of God’s covenant family, and therefore, are to be baptized.
